Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Surgical Log Book Pro has no account system and no server. Every case, note, and custom procedure stays on your device until you delete it or choose to export it yourself. See the Privacy Policy for details.
What happens if I lose my phone?
If you use standard iCloud or computer backups, your log is included in those automatically. For an extra copy independent of device backups, use Export Backup in the More tab, and Restore Backup on any device running the app.
Does the procedure library replace my institution's protocols?
No. It's a concise educational reference — indications, operative steps, and key complications — meant for orientation and review, not a substitute for institutional protocols, formal training, or clinical judgment.
Can I add procedures that aren't in the built-in library?
Yes. Use the + button in the Library tab to add your own procedure with indications, steps, and complications. Custom procedures are included in backups and are searchable alongside the built-in 130.
How do I get my log out of the app?
Use the More tab: Export Case Log (CSV) for spreadsheets and credentialing systems, or Export PDF Report for a formatted, shareable summary. Both can be scoped to the last 1, 3, or 12 months.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes, always. Surgical Log Book Pro never makes a network connection of any kind — offline is the only mode it has.
How do I turn on the app lock?
More tab → Security → Require Face ID / Passcode. It uses your device's own Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode; the app never sees your biometric data.
I found a bug or the app crashed — what should I include in my report?
Please include your iPhone/iPad model and iOS version, what you were doing when it happened, and whether it's reproducible.
Please do not include real patient information in a support request. The app is designed to contain none, and support requests should follow the same rule.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or via Settings → your name → Media & Purchases on your device.
